A. ORD-2017-72 : Ordinance Adopting an Annual Budget for the Village of Woodridge for All Corporate Purposes, in Lieu of an Annual Appropriation Ordinance, for the Fiscal Year Beginning January 1, 2018 and Ending December 31, 2018

The Village annually adopts the budget which is the main policy document identifying the services to be provided and how they are financed. The Fiscal Year 2018 budget, beginning January 1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2018, including all funds is $52,967,668 for the Village of Woodridge and $3,782,041 for the Woodridge Public Library.

The 2017 property tax levy for the Village of Woodridge is $3,181,541This represents the fourth straight year the Village has not increased their property tax levy.

The 2017 property tax levy for the Woodridge Public Library is $3,681,141.  This is a 2.1% increase from the 2016 levy, and follows the Illinois tax cap requirements, although the library is not subject to the cap due to the home-rule status of the Village.

The 2017 property tax levy for Special Service Area #1 in Seven Bridges is $34,855.  This is a 4.98% increase from the 2017 levy extension.  This amount may be adjusted as necessary to stay at the limit of $0.03 per $100 of equalized assessed valuation.

E. Determination of the 2017 Proposed Property Tax Levy in Compliance with the Truth in Taxation Act- SSA #3 Richfield Place

The 2017 property tax levy for Special Service Area #3 in Richfield Place is $7,035.  This is a 7.96% increase from the 2017 levy extension.  This amount may be adjusted as necessary to stay at the limit of $0.16 per $100 of equalized assessed valuation.

F. Determination of the 2017 Proposed Property Tax Levy in Compliance with the Truth in Taxation Act- SSA #5 Timber's Edge

The 2017 property tax levy for Special Service Area #5-Timber’s Edge is $4,000.  This is the first year the Village is levying a tax for this area.  The tax will be capped at $0.03 per $100 of Equalized Assessed Valuation of all the properties within the Special Service Area.
